THE BUSINESS: HOW & WHY WE CAME TO BE
Understanding the essence of NICA NOEL BRAND is essential. It wasn’t my inaugural venture; that honor goes to CREATIVE HANDS. However, let’s rewind to where it all began. As a child, teenager, and into adulthood, I struggled with low self-esteem, a reality I masked with a confident facade and an “I Don’t Care” attitude. Despite this, I was determined to craft an impeccable image, leveraging my beauty, intellect, and societal standards of physical attractiveness. By twenty-eight, my life appeared idyllic: a loving, wealthy husband, three beautiful children, a fulfilling teaching career, a thriving business, and active participation in my church community. From the outside, it seemed I had defied my humble beginnings.
However, in June 2013, my seemingly perfect world shattered when my husband, after ten years of marriage, blindsided me with a request for a divorce. Devastated, I found myself at a crossroads, feeling broken and rejected until a divine intervention redefined my path.
Amidst turmoil and prayer, God inspired me to establish CREATIVE HANDS in 2014, an event planning and rentals venture that flourished with His blessing. This spiritual awakening also opened my heart to the Holy Spirit’s guidance, showing me how my personal trials could empower other women. Marrying my fashion sense and business acumen with a newfound purpose led to the birth of NICA NOEL in 2017, a brand with a mission to celebrate the inherent fabulousness in every woman, irrespective of their background or beliefs. At its core, NICA NOEL champions the power of authenticity and womanhood.
